Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal
91ÁÔÆæs are notified by email from the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships approximately one week after grades are posted for the previous term if their financial aid is at risk. This may be due to low grades, not meeting the pace standard, or attempting more than 150% of degree requirements without success. To continue receiving financial aid, students must submit a SAP Appeal. Alternatively, students may choose to pay for school using other resources without relying on financial aid.
To get started, email SAP@citadel.edu (opens in a new tab) to request a 30-minute SAP Appeal meeting. You will receive an email that includes the link to schedule a meeting and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process.
The SAP Appeal form can be found on the Financial Aid Forms (opens in a new tab) website.

During Meeting
You will complete pages 1 and 2 of the SAP Appeal form with a 91ÁÔÆæ Affairs advisor. They will review GPA calculations (opens in a new tab) to demonstrate progress toward GPA recovery and can share campus support options (opens in a new tab) to help you thrive.
Minimum GPA requirements can be found in the academic policies section of the relevant college catalog on the Academic Affairs (opens in a new tab) website.
Following the meeting, your 91ÁÔÆæ Affairs advisor will email all paperwork to Financial Aid (opens in a new tab), who will contact you to let you know the status of your appeal, and if additional information is required.
