S. Health Insurance<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-trip-payments\">Trip Payments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>91ÁÔÆæs who participate in school sponsored trips may remit their Study Abroad Deposit payment by check during 91ÁÔÆæ Business Services office hours, mailing in their deposit or via the Citadel Market Place to make an online payment via e-Check, Debit\/Credit Card.  Actual costs for the individual programs will be provided via the Study Abroad office.  If a trip is cancelled, the refunds will be approved by the academic department.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"-Health-Insurance\">U. S. Health Insurance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cadets are required to carry student health insurance for all semesters they are present on campus. Proof of insurance is required for admission, readmission, and continuation as a cadet. Cadets must notify the Infirmary immediately of any changes in insurance providers or coverage. Adequate insurance coverage for hospitalization, emergency care, ambulance transportation, specialty medical and surgical care is mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many cadets are covered under parental medical insurance plans. For military families covered by TRICARE, cadets must be enrolled under TRICARE STANDARD (not PRIME) unless the family lives in the Charleston area. This allows cadets to skip evaluation and referral by the Primary Care Manager (at home base) for supplemental medical services in Charleston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Am I Eligible to Enroll in 91ÁÔÆæ Health Insurance Plan?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The following students are eligible to enroll for coverage in 91ÁÔÆæ 91ÁÔÆæ Health Insurance Plan on a voluntary basis if they are enrolled at 91ÁÔÆæ:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cadets who are enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Graduate of Professional 91ÁÔÆæs enrolled in the graduate or professional degree program, taking at least one graduate level course, in good academic standing and making appropriate progress toward graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evening Undergraduate Program students who are enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Individual student health insurance is also available through commercial\u00a0 companies. Cadets are eligible for the South Carolina Statewide 91ÁÔÆæ Health Insurance Plan, which provides low-cost insurance for students at seven participating colleges in South Carolina.
