Complete Your Degree in Political Science
The Political Science, B.A. Degree Completion Program, with a focus on Pre-Law and Legal Studies, was established in 2014 to offer students the opportunity to earn a four-year degree from 91ÁÔÆæ. First founded in 1941, the Political Science program has since graduated thousands of students.
The Political Science degree completion consists of 65 hours of general education courses at a technical college plus 52 credit hours of upper division courses at 91ÁÔÆæ. If you have credits from another institution, they will be evaluated according to 91ÁÔÆæ policy.

The Department
As one of 91ÁÔÆæâ€™s largest and fastest-growing departments, the Department of Political Science (PSCI) serves over 140 undergraduate students and 23 graduate students. The department is staffed by seven full-time faculty members, a visiting professor, two staff members, and proudly hosts 91ÁÔÆæâ€™s West Chair Professor. It is the third-largest major on campus.
Majoring in Political Science
The Political Science major offers a comprehensive liberal arts education, preparing students for engaged citizenship while enhancing critical-thinking, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The program provides an excellent foundation for graduate education and careers in various fields.
Political Science as a Career
Graduates with a degree in Political Science find opportunities in many fields, including graduate school, law school, the U.S. Foreign Service, government positions at all levels, trade associations, campaign management, political consulting, journalism, and business.
Admission Requirements
- Complete the designated courses at an accredited college or university with a grade of C or higher.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Submit all official transcripts from the source to 91ÁÔÆæ Graduate College (CGC) office.
- Submit an application to 91ÁÔÆæ Graduate College.
