This course provides valuable guidance on navigating Citadel Online, Canvas, and Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-essential-technology-requirements\">Essential Technology Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At 91ÁÔÆæ, we utilize <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/citadel.instructure.com\">Canvas<\/a><\/strong> as our learning management system (LMS) to provide a seamless online learning experience. Below are the essential technology requirements and recommendations to ensure you can fully engage with your online courses. For login information, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/ceitl\/canvas-for-students\/\">Canvas for 91ÁÔÆæs<\/a> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-my-citadel-portal\">My.Citadel Portal<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to <a href=\"https:\/\/my.citadel.edu\">my.citadel.edu<\/a> and login with your \u201cusername@<strong>nation<\/strong>.citadel.edu\u201d and current password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The portal grants easy access to your Microsoft 365 (email) , Canvas, CAS, and more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/its\/accounts-and-passwords\/quickstart\/\">ITS Quickstart Guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-required-hardware\">Required Hardware<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Laptop or Desktop:<\/strong> A Windows or Mac-based computer is required. While tablets and smartphones may work for some coursework, they are not suitable for all. For further details, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/its\/computer-recommendations\/\">91ÁÔÆæ 91ÁÔÆæ Computer Recommendations<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Microphone:<\/strong> Some online courses may require a microphone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Audio Playback:<\/strong> Speakers or headphones are necessary for audio playback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Web Camera:<\/strong> Required for certain courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>91ÁÔÆæ operates as a Microsoft campus, so it&#8217;s essential that your laptop is compatible with Office 365. While Windows laptops are preferred, Apple laptops are generally acceptable for most courses. Be aware that Apple computers may sometimes have software compatibility issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-additional-online-learning-information\">Additional Online Learning Information<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Web Browser Information: <\/strong>Please only use one of the&nbsp;supported browsers&nbsp;that has been tested and approved by Canvas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pop-up Blockers:<\/strong> Canvas uses small browser windows to deliver requested content. Some pop-up blockers incorrectly interpret these small windows as pop-ups and block them.
