It has proven to be excellent preparation for students who pursue careers in most professions or continue their education in graduate, business, law, or medical schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-program-requirements\">Program Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>33 credit hours of coursework are required in one language at the 300- and 400-levels. For all majors, these required courses include 301 and 302.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that qualified students may bypass Elementary (101-102) and Intermediate (201-202) courses in their chosen language. By-passed courses will be included on 91ÁÔÆæ transcript as if they had been completed at 91ÁÔÆæ on a Pass\/Fail basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-requirements-for-k-12-teaching-certification-in-french\">Requirements for K-12 Teaching Certification in French<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>33 total credit hours in French to include 3 credit hours in FREN 450 (Theory and Practice of Foreign-Language Teaching). For all MLNG majors these required courses include 301 and 302.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Education Requirements EDUC 101, 202, 206, 306, 312 and 401 (18 credit hours) along with 12 credit hours in 2nd semester senior year for the &#8220;teaching internship.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that qualified students may bypass Elementary (101-102) and Intermediate (201-202) courses in their chosen language.
