Dr. Vicente Gomis-Izquierdo is originally from Alicante, Spain, where he received his B.A. in English. He later received an M.A. from Kansas State University and a Ph.D. from The University of Kansas, both in Hispanic literature and culture. He previously worked as a full-time faculty member at Saint Vincent College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he was editor of Hispanic Journal between 2015 and 2021.
Vicente specializes in 19th-century Peninsular and Latin American literature and culture with an emphasis in gender issues, representations of history, and modernity in literature.
His scholarship can be found in journals such as ±á¾±²õ±è²¹²Ôó´Ú¾±±ô²¹, Siglo XIX, and Letras Hispanas.
