We are pleased to welcome these volunteers. Please review our policies for coaches and volunteers before joining a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support the mission of educating and developing principled leaders in all areas of life. Advisors, coaches, instructors, and team assistants should focus on instruction and serving as models of principled leadership. Since ICRA Club Sports are primarily student organizations, team captains and players should have the opportunity to coordinate activities with your guidance and, with permission, make decisions independently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please review and adhere to all Citadel policies, including the college\u2019s hazing policy, conduct guidelines in The White Book (Chapter 4: Cadet Support Services), the Commandant\u2019s Disciplinary Restrictions for Clubs and Club Sports, and the Procurement Department\u2019s policies on purchases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and support&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/icra.wufoo.com\/forms\/x1tlm34o1mjhr9p\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Player Packet<span class=\"screen-reader-text\"> (opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;requirements for all players.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help ensure that the&nbsp;Code of Conduct&nbsp;is adhered to, including during practices, competitions, travel, and other club functions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage team captains and players to manage routine team activities, such as field preparation, form submissions, and meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in ICRA Club Sports is voluntary. No monetary awards or other compensation may be promised or provided to players or prospective players.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advisors, coaches, instructors, and team assistants must be recommended by team captains, reviewed by the Director of Club Sports, and approved by Human Resources. As members of 91ÁÔÆæ 91ÁÔÆæ Affairs Team, all participants are supervised by the Executive Director of 91ÁÔÆæ Affairs and Academic Services or their designee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advisors, coaches, instructors, and team assistants are not permitted to use 91ÁÔÆæ&#8217;s equipment for private off-campus activities. Similarly, the use of Citadel facilities for personal purposes is permitted only if covered by a contractual agreement with the Office of Events Management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid using college, team, or participant resources for activities that fall outside the team\u2019s stated purpose, as outlined in its constitution and bylaws.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All team activities should involve opponents who are 18 years or older. Community service activities are allowed, but must comply with the Center for the Protection of Minors on Campus&#8217; policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consider obtaining personal medical and liability insurance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the beginning of each academic year, update your <a href=\"https:\/\/icra.wufoo.com\/forms\/x8v3xsh0wtuoy8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Coaching Packet<span class=\"screen-reader-text\"> (opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/a>.
